Requirements for Terra Energy Recruitment 2026
Each role has its specific educational qualifications, and experience required thus, carefully identity the one that best fit you.
1. Production Operator
Your key responsibilities shall be to operates and monitors production facilities safely, performing start-ups, shutdowns, field rounds and troubleshooting, supporting permits and maintenance, keeping accurate records, responding to emergencies, and as well improve efficiency.
- Applicants must hold an HND or Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Candidates applying should have at least 10 years in oil and gas, with a solid background in upstream E&P.
- Applicants must have real hands-on experience running production operations offshore or at a similar upstream facility.
- Candidates applying should have personally operated and monitored process equipment, production systems and utilities, not just supervised from a distance.
- Applicants must have a good grasp of production processes, operating procedures, equipment isolation and process safety.
- Candidates applying should hold up-to-date BOSIET/HUET, offshore medical and H₂S certificates if the role involves going offshore.
- Applicants must be comfortable working with HSE requirements, operational controls, procedures and technical documents.
2. Senior Petroleum Engineer
Your key duties shall revolve around conducting reservoir and production engineering studies, forecasting performance, finding ways to improve wells and fields, supporting field development plans, and advising multidisciplinary teams and management on investment decisions.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Candidates applying should have 10 to 12 years in oil and gas, with a solid background in upstream E&P.
- Applicants must have real hands-on experience in petroleum engineering, reservoir evaluation and production optimisation.
- Candidates applying should have worked directly on production forecasting, reservoir surveillance, reserves evaluation and field development planning.
- Applicants must understand how to evaluate reservoir and well performance using pressure, production and PVT data.
- Candidates applying should have a record of spotting well and field development opportunities and taking them forward.
- Applicants must have good knowledge of HSE requirements, operational controls, technical procedures and documentation standards.
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering body is desirable.
- A postgraduate qualification in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or a related field is an advantage.
3. Senior Drilling Engineer
As the Senior drilling engineer, you shall plan and supports drilling operations, preparing programmes, costs and schedules, solving technical problems, cutting lost time, coordinating contractors, and keeping wells safe and compliant.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
- Candidates applying should have 10 to 15 years in oil and gas, with a solid background in upstream E&P.
- Applicants must have real hands-on experience in drilling engineering, well design and drilling execution.
- Candidates applying should have developed drilling programmes, casing and cementing designs and well trajectories themselves.
- Applicants must have supported drilling operations and resolved complex operational challenges in the field.
- A valid IWCF or IADC Well Control certificate is strongly preferred.
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering body is desirable.
- Candidates applying should have strong knowledge of HSE requirements, operational controls, technical procedures and documentation standards.
