Job Description

The Edo State recruitment 2026 seeks to fill vacant drivers positions in the Edo State City Transport Service (ECTS). These are Motor Driver Mechanic and Heavy Lorry Driver which are both grade level 04. Candidates interested to apply needs to have at least First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and a valid class C driving license.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

To apply for any of these positions, it is important you have a clear understand of what it entails.

1. Motor Driver Mechanic

Person selected for this role shall operate assigned vehicle and also carry out routine services and other basic mechanical repairs.

Requirements and qualifications

• Prospective applicant must have a minium of First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
• Valid Class C driving licence
• Class III Trade Test Certificate in Motor Mechanic work
• Candidates with two (2) or more years of experience have an added advantage.

2. Heavy Lorry Driver

Selected candidate shall drive heavy vehicles that conveys materials and equipment safely.  Shall oversee vehicle’s safety and routine repairs as well.

Requirements and qualifications

• At least First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
• Valid Class C driving licence
• At least two (2) years of satisfactory post-qualification driving experience

In addition to the above requirements for both position, applicants must be an indigene of Edo State, should possess a valid National Identity Card and must currently reside in the state.
