The latest update as of 20th October 2026 is that the exact date for the release of CDCFIB recruitment shortlist have not been officially confirmed by the Ministry of Interior. Latest Update on CDCFIB Final Shortlist 2026

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services (CDCFIB) recruitment portal states that the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise have been concluded, the shortlist for physical screening had been released but the final shortlist after medical examination & screening is not yet out.

Also, the portal does not state the exact date when the final shortlist will be released neither has any official announcement about the 2026/2027 recruitment been made yet.

Recap of 2024/2025 CDCFIB Recruitment Exercise

The 2024/2025 recruitment exercise conducted by the board covers four agencies; the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service.

• Computer-based test (CBT): After the application deadline, the Board invited eligible candidates for an online assessment which was held in November 2025.
• Physical screening and document verification: Applicants who sat the Computer Based Test (CBT) were latest directed to check their status at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng between 15 and 20 June 2026. Those who adhered accordingly and updated their details within the specified timeline were invited based on the venue selected.
• Oral interview shortlist: The Board re-opened the portal on Monday, August 31, 2026 for candidates who took part in the physical and medical screening. Those in graduate category were to confirm their status between Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 2, 2026 whole NCE, OND and SSCE candidates were scheduled for Monday, 7th till Wednesday, 9th September 2026.

Current status: According to CDCFIB recruitment portal, the exercise has concluded and candidates are asked to check the portal for their outcome and further details. Meanwhile, the very last shortlist is awaited.
