The FRSC recruitment update today 2026 that you should note covers shortlist news, screening and training camp. Sequel to this, if you submitted application for the just concluded Federal Road Corps vacancies and wish to know what’s next, then you’re on the right page.
Maybe you have been refreshing your email daily to see if FRSC have seen you any message, that’s totally understandable. Today, we present you with the newest update and what to note about the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recruitment process. This will help you know how best to position yourself and follow up to ensure you land a job there.
If you participated in the just concluded Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recruitment screening exercise, note that shortlisted candidates are expected to report to camp starting from 13th September 2026 till 20th September 2026. What you should do now, is check your email for any notification about your assigned training camp.
Alternatively, you can visit the nearest FRSC office to make inquiries. Venue includes; Former NYSC Orientation Camp (Black Gold), Kaduna, Sabon Gayan, around Kilometre 16 – 18 along the Kaduna – Abuja Expressway, Chikun Local Government Area.
As of today 14th October 2026, the latest update is that the FRSC recruitment portal recruitment.frsc.gov.ng has closed and names of shortlisted candidates is out. The application process which is the 1st phase lasted for four (4) weeks. This means that within the next few weeks, names of shortlisted candidates will be released.
Names of shortlisted candidates have not yet been released yet. This is not unusual, FRSC like most federal agencies only begins to review submitted applications after the application portal is closed and will then release the shortlist within weeks.
Thus, we recommend you keep an eye on your email, SMS and also the official FRSC portal for updates on the shortlist.
I’d like to get started with a quick recap of the 2026 recruitment exercise which the application portal recruitment.frsc.gov.ng was officially opened from Friday, July 3, 2026 and closed on Monday, 3rd August 2026.
The vacancies announced were Officer Cadre (Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander, and Assistant Route Commander), the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, which includes drivers, riders, and artisans etc.
Applications were only received online at the designated recruitment portal and failure to apply before the closing date resulted to automatic disqualification. Also, the entire process i.e. application, shortlisting, screening and training is free of charge.
So, if you were able to submit application, then you’re right on track.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have officially announced that the 2026 names of shortlisted candidates is out and screening is starting from Wednesday, 19th August 2026 through Friday, 21st August 2026. If you successfully submitted application, then its time to check your email bot inbox and spam for updates.
All shortlisted candidates shall receive an enlistment notification via their email address or SMS. Meanwhile, to confirm, simply visit recruitment.frsc.gov.ng, login using your email and password, on the dashboard navigate to application status, click and the feedback will be given to you instantly.
One thing you must have as long as this recruitment process is concerned is patience. Remember, hundreds to thousands of persons have submitted application as such, the review process might take few weeks to maybe a month.
Currently, there’s a speculation that FRSC shortlist 2026 is out and screening have been scheduled for the following:
Kindly ignore this as it has not yet been officially confirmed on the official Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
Yes, all FRSC shortlisted candidates will write a Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the firs screening process. The CBT exam usually cover areas such as verbal reasoning, numerical aptitude, general knowledge, English language, current affairs, and questions related to road safety regulations and traffic law etc.
To proceed to the next phase which is physical screening where your documents will be verified, medical examination will be done and your height checked, you must score at least 50% and above.
IN this case, we recommend you begin to prepare now by reviewing review materials on current affairs, make more research about FRSC and check for available recruitment past questions etc.
At a point, it will seem as if everywhere is silent concerning the recruitment process, don’t panic, rather do the following while you wait to remain productive.
FRSC screening date 2026 are as follows:
According to FRSC, physical screening date for each shortlisted candidates will be communicated to them via email but general the process will start from 19th – 21st August 2026.
During this screening, candidates shall report at designated FRSC centers across the country where verification of their academic, professional credentials and other relevant documents and criteria shall be confirmed.
Lastly, your specific date, time and venue for FRSC screening will be sent to you via email or you can access it via the recruitment portal (recruitment.frsc.gov.ng).
Training dates as well are usually announced after physical screening and final selection are completed, so there is currently no confirmed training date for the 2026 recruitment exercise.
Successful candidates who pass the CBT, and physical screening shall be communicated the training date, center and time to report.
In summary, the FRSC recruitment date today 2026 is that the application portal is still open and will soon be closed. After that submitted applications shall be reviewed and names of successful candidates released for the Computer Based Test (CBT), the following by physical screening and lastly training before deployment.
The effective thing to do now is keep an eye on the recruitment portal, practice relevant CBT to get acquainted with the test format, always check for email or SMS for latest news and visit this page regularly for subsequent updates.
