Requirements for FRSC Recruitment 2027/2028

Based on the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recruitment antecedent, the eligibility criteria for 2027/2028 are as follows:

Educational qualifications

• Officer cadre: Applicants interested in this cadre must have at least B.Sc., B.A or HND. This role is also open for specialist such as medical doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, engineers, nurses, medical laboratory scientists and other discipline etc.
• Marshal Inspectorate cadre: Prospective applicants of this cadre must have National Diploma or equivalent qualification. This is also open for Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife or Community Health Extension Workers.
• Road Marshal Assistant cadre: at least three credits in SSCE, including English Language and Mathematics is required. Artisans and drivers could also apply.

Age requirements

• Officer cadre: 18 to 35 years.
• Marshal Inspectorate cadre: 18 to 30 years.
• Road Marshal Assistant Cadre: 26 to 40 years.

General Criteria

• All applicants are expected to be Nigerian citizen by birth. In addition to this, they must possess a valid National Identity Card or Passport.
• Both male and female applicants must be physically and mentally sound. A medical report from a government hospital shall be required.
• Applicants must also be of good character with no criminal history or conviction.
• Due to the nature of training, pregnant women are not eligible to apply.
• Applicant must not have any feasible tattoos.
• Candidate must have a valid email address and phone number.
• Male applicants needed a minimum height of 1.65 metres. Female applicants needed 1.58 metres.
• Artisans needed relevant trade qualifications and licences. Riders and drivers needed the right class of valid driver’s licence. Not every requirement applied to every cadre.

The FRSC recruitment exercise has three (3) broad categories:

1. Officer Cadre: Superintendent Route Commanders, Route Commanders/Deputy Route Commanders and Assistant Route Commanders.
