The Katsina State Hospital Services Management Board (KTHSMB) have been instituted by the State government to coordinate, manage, and upgrade secondary healthcare facilities/deliveries in all the thirty-four (34) local government areas of the State.

Requirements for KTHSMB Recruitment 2026

Use the criteria below to ascertain which position best suit you.

1. Dental Technician

As the dental technician, you shall make and repair dentures, crowns and bridges for patients at relevant KTHSMB facilities. This shall be done based on the impressions, models and instructions the dentists send over. You shall also look after the lab equipment and follow all infection control rules etc.

• Interested candidate must have a Diploma in Dental Technology.
• Must be able to make basic prostheses.
• What have the operational knowledge of a dental lab.
• Must have steady hands and pay close attention to detail.
• Should possess relevant work experience.

2. Dental Therapist

Your duties as a Dental Therapist, you will handle of routine and preventive oral care. This specifically includes examining patient’s mouth, scaling, polishing and applying necessary preventive treatments.

• Applicant must have at least a Diploma in Dental Therapy or Oral Health
• Should possess current and Valid professional registration or license
• Must possess basic clinical and preventive dental skills
• Must have good communication and patient relations skills.
• Some previous experience in the field

3. Medical Laboratory Scientist

The major responsibility of the medical laboratory scientist is to run diagnostic tests.

• Applicant must have a degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council.
• Must have a valid practicing license.
• Must have completed NYSC or collected exemption certificate.
• Should have solid hands-on skills in laboratory techniques.

4. Medical Laboratory Technician

Your key duties shall include routine lab test to help doctors diagnose and treat patients within KTHSMB facilities. This means, you will collect and process samples, run the test, maintain the lab equipment and ensure all biosafety rules are observed.

• You must have a minimum of Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology to apply.
• You must know how to handle samples properly and also run lab test.
• You must be conversant with relevant biosafety and infection control practice.
• Must be meticulous.
• Relevant years of experience is an added advantage.

5. Medical Doctor

If employed, you shall provide all round medical care to patients.

• Applicant must have MBBS/MBChB degree.
• Must have a registered member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Must have valid practicing license.
• Applicant must have completed NYSC or received exemption certificate.
• Must be a computer literate.

6. Midwife Officer II

As the midwife officer II, you shall take care of mothers and newborns at KTHSMB health facilities ranging from antenatal checks to labour and delivery postnatal care.

• Registered Midwife (RM) qualification
• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
• Valid practicing license
• Strong skills in maternal and newborn care
• Good with patients and a clear communicator
• Some previous experience in the field

7. Nutritionist

You shall provide nutritional advise to patient, draw up diets plans and keep track of how each patient is doing.

• Applicant must possess either a Diploma, degree or equivalent qualification in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related discipline.
• Must have basic knowledge of human nutrition and diet management.
• Must understand nutritional assessment and counselling.
• Good with patients and a clear communicator.
• Works well in a team with other health professionals.
• Candidates with work experience have an added advantage.
