The Federal Ministry of Interior recruitment 2026/2027 updates for CDCFIB portal, NIS, NSCDC NCoS and Fire Service are available on this page. When Nigeria’s federal government wants to recruitment paramilitary officers, it is the Ministry of Interior that handles the process.
For instance, the last concluded Ministry of interior recruitment exercise had cover 1.1 million successful applications. Guess what? This huge number of applications was for only 30,000 vacancies across Civil Defence (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Correctional Service (NCoS) and Fire Service.
This therefore indicates that, if you wish to apply for either the immigration, civil defence, firefighting or correction service, you must do so on the Ministry of Interior designated platform which is CDCFIB portal.

As of June 2026, the Federal Ministry of interior designated recruitment portal (CDCFIB) is not receiving new application. Eligible and interested Nigerians are encouraged to keep an eye on the recruitment portal recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

Many Nigerians who search for “Ministry of Interior recruitment” expect to submit application directly on the Ministry’s website but that is not how the process works. Having a proper understanding of the recruitment structure gives you an immediate advantage.
The Federal Ministry of Interior does not conduct recruitment directly rather delegates employment process for paramilitary agencies to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
Now, CDCFIB is a statutory body established for the sole purpose of overseeing recruitment, training, promotions and disciplinary matters across Civil Defence, Correctional Service, Fire and Immigration Service etc.
The official CDCFIB recruitment application portal is recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
There’s something most applicants do get wrong and this usually disqualifies them. The fact that CDCFIB recruits for four (4) agencies does not mean you can apply for all at the same time.
You may only apply to ONE agency per recruitment cycle. Failure to follow this rule, the system will flag and disqualify your application.
In plain terms, you cannot submit an application to the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at the same time.
There are five cadres across all agencies under CDCFIB and the qualification you have determines the position you apply for:
When applying for the Ministry of Interior recruitment through CDCFIB portal, you shall clearly scan and upload the following documents.
